The spark that first ignited our shared passion for community service has continued to burn brightly for over a decade, expressed through diverse events that celebrate unity in diversity. Most recently, in March 2025, 747 Seminars welcomed Aromananda as part of a poetry event at Chateau Le Woof in Astoria, Queens. In February 2024, we joined forces to honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday with a cross‑cultural yoga presentation hosted by the Cretans Association Omonia, Inc. In May 2023 Dr. Sharon M. Cadiz, CEO of 747 Seminars, was the guest speaker invited for a vibrant Mother’s Day celebration hosted by Aromananda.
Our collaboration began many years ago with exchange programs introducing new audiences to Classical Indian Dance, and with initiatives that highlighted the connection between the Black community’s civil rights movement, led by Dr. King, and the shared principles of nonviolence and justice championed by Mohandas Gandhi.
